PRP · Non-surgical, uses your own blood

PRP Hair Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood and introduced into the scalp.

What it is

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. A small sample of your own blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, which is then introduced into the scalp in the areas being treated.

Because the material comes from your own body, no medication is involved. This is why PRP sits at the centre of a drug-free approach to hair loss.

PRP is typically carried out as a course of sessions, with reviews in between.

Who it suits

  • Men and women with thinning hair rather than long-established bald areas
  • People who would prefer a natural, drug-free option
  • Clients preparing for, or recovering from, a hair transplant

What to expect

  • A free consultation and scalp examination, including a conversation about your general health and any medication you take
  • A session lasting under an hour: blood sample, preparation, then treatment of the scalp
  • Some tenderness or redness on the day is normal; most people return to their usual routine quickly
  • Follow-up reviews with photographs so you can see for yourself how things are progressing

Hair loss varies from person to person and we cannot promise a particular outcome. If we don't think a treatment is right for you, we'll tell you.
